Celebrating Black History Month: Edith T. Allen - My Life

Mrs. Edith T. Allen was featured in the Warren Record - "Stories of and about Our Elders" during February for Black History Month.

WCRSP receive a $1000.00 grant from The Gregory B. Davis Foundation (GBDF), Roanoke Valley Breast Cancer Coalition (RVBCC), and Center for Disease Control Foundation (CDCF) Partnership for Vaccine Equity (P4VE).

The goal of this grant is to

  • Enhance outreach to provide individuals with information in an effort to increase the vaccination rate in Northampton and Warren County. 

  • To share information and educate individuals with factual information regarding vaccinations in order to dispel the myths and misinformation in circulation today.

​​

Informational sessions will be provided to enhance education and reconcile any rumors or questions regarding vaccinations (COVID-19 and Flu).

WCRSP was an exhibitor at the Women's Health Awareness 2023 held in Creedmoor at the Creedmoor Community Center on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

 

Information was provided on Vaccine Confidence, a program with our partners "Because You Matter...Vaccinate: Facts Not Fear", to educate and inform the population about COVID-19 and influenza facts through impactful outreach efforts. Additional information was provided on Women's Health and Breast Cancer. Home COVID tests and door prizes were given to participants.

WCRSP members prepare 60 bags to give out for Teacher Appreciation Week - May 2023. Members donated items for the bags (water, tissue, hand sanitizer, candy, ink pens, COVID test, sandwich crackers).
