Membership Qualifications

• If you lived or once lived in NC

• If you were employed for at leave five (5) years in a public school, college, or university, as a teacher, support personnel, administrator

• If you are at least 45 years old

• If you are no longer working for a public school or have returned to work as a qualifying retired employee or retired as part of an early retire agreement

• If you are eligible to receive a pension from an educational employment retirement system OR from Social Security
